Advice

Children can gain a lot from using the Internet but it's best if you supervise what they are doing on it. There are a number of programs that can help you do this. For example, Cyber Patrol and Cybersitter - both provide trials to download. These programs allow you to screen out pornography, violence and other objectionable material. The filter can be disabled via a password to allow adult usage.

If your child uses Chat over the Internet make sure that they do not give out personal information or arrange meetings.

What's the difference between WebMail and Outlook Express?
WebMail allows you to use your RevolutionISP e-mail account anywhere in the world - just log-in at www.revisp.com. Outlook Express is best used at home.

Can I access my old address book and favourites?
These should be available on your new Internet settings after sign-up but will not be available in WebMail.

Can I still use my old e-mail accounts even though I've now signed-up with RevolutionISP?
Yes. Just do the following:

1. Start Outlook Express
2. Click on Tools menu
3. Move down and click on Accounts
4. Click on your old e-mail account
5. Click on Properties
6. Click on Connection tab
7. Click on the drop-down list and select Revisp
8. Put a tick in the 'Always connect to this account using:' if you want to use just Revisp for your connection
9. Click OK

On start up Outlook Express should now check your old account and your
revisp account for new mail
